Meet Our Staff
Annie Reneau
As a former English teacher and editor, I have been helping people improve their writing for most of my professional life.
Currently, I work as an assistant editor for a children's magazine in addition to my work with the OWL. The rest of my time
is spent homeschooling my daughters, teaching virtues classes to children, and learning any new hobby I can get my hands on.
I live in the suburbs of Chicago and dream of visiting New England in the fall.

David Cataneo
I was very happy to join the OWL team in spring 2008. I am a native New Yorker and a magna cum laude graduate of Boston
University's School of Public Communication. My degree is in journalism, and I worked for 22 years for the Boston Globe and
Boston Herald as a reporter, columnist, and editor. I am the author of six non-fiction books. I have also written a novel
which I have placed with a New York agent. I have conducted many writing workshops at schools throughout New England, and
in fall 2007 I taught a graduate level writing course on-line at Bay Path College in Longmeadow, Mass. I currently work
with students at the University of New Hampshire as assistant director of the Connors Writing Center. In spring 2009, I am
scheduled to teach UNH's first-ever sports journalism class. I live in Durham, NH, with my family.

Mandy Chesley-Park
Currently a student in the MFA Nonfiction program at UNH, I am enjoying the simple pleasures associated with writing. In
addition to being a student, I work as the assistant director of the Connors Writing Center and as a staff editor for the
undergraduate journal, Inquiry. Prior to coming to UNH, I attended Utah Valley State College, where I taught basic composition
for three years after graduation. When I am not writing, reading, or watching the tide change from my window in New Castle, NH,
I am spending time with my husband, baking, or catching up with friends and family over the phone.

Laura Waldon
I worked as assistant director of the Connors Writing Center at UNH from January 2005 to June 2006, and have served as director and designer of the Online Writing Lab since May 2005. Before moving to my current home in Salem, Mass., I worked for four years as a freelance writer and newspaper reporter in Minnesota. I received my bachelor's degree in English and sociology from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, and my MFA in Creative Nonfiction Writing from UNH, where I also teach English 401. When I'm not working, writing, or studying, I love traveling, horseback riding, watching "Law and Order: SVU," and doing black and white photography.
